Holographic Displays
Unfortunately, to date, there are no true-motion volumetric Holograms that live up to the "Star Wars Princess Leia" effect. However, there are a number of technologies we’ve been pioneering that create the illusion of 3D Holograms floating in space. We’ve employed a HoloView glass pyramid kiosk to display a variety of 3D complex animations.
Gesturing and Touch Technology
Rather than using somewhat limited and primitive interfaces like a keyboard and mouse, gesture recognition and touch technology are ways to better enhance ways in which we interact with our digital world.
SuperWide and 360º Experiences
Human beings have a stationary field of view of 180º and a simple turn of our heads reveals a 360º world. If we want to truly immerse the viewer in an experience we need to create content that takes full advantage of this innate human capability.
Mega Screens
For years we have been at the forefront in creating imagery at the highest resolutions possible. We were among the first in the US to use HDTV for corporate clients years before it became the broadcast format it is today. We’ve worked on projects that exceed 10 Million Pixels… many times the resolution of HDTV or IMAX. More pixels deliver more information. More information means sharper, more believable and more engaging pictures. The result is transformative.
Virtual Presenter
The human virtual presence is no longer the stuff of science fiction. Audiences love interacting with computer-generated people who look, sound, and converse almost like the real thing. It’s the almost human element that makes the experience so incredibly compelling. Rather than employing live talent for presentations we’ve been using various technologies such as WowScrens and Circular LED cylinders to create Virtual Presenters / Avatars. We utilize a variety of cutting edge technologies to allow real-time, interactive interaction with a full sized life-like digital avatar that can serve as a video spokesperson or virtual host to engage with viewers, educate and entertain. Virtual presenters use artificial intelligence and computer generated visual technologies to interact with customers and gather valuable user analytics in the physical world. They can deliver marketing messages, provide customer support and conduct commerce anywhere, anytime and in any language.
3D Hyper-Viewer…or ViewMasters on STEROIDS
A new generation of personal Stereoscopic viewers allows for an incredibly high resolution, immersive 3D experience. Images inside the viewer make people gasp the first time they peer into the amazing dimensional world inside.
Flexible Light
Electroluminescent technology has been employed in a number of commercial applications such as backlighting clocks and watches, computer laptop displays and keypad illumination for hand-held devices. The latest development in EL products is the ability to not only illuminate an image on a vast array of materials but to animate it as well. EL, or electroluminescent signage, is essentially a flat light bulb sandwich.
Auto Stereoscopic (3D without glasses)
Auto-Stereoscopic 3D display technology is a method of displaying stereoscopic images that do not require glasses to see 3D images. Although still in its early development, we’ve been involved with Auto-Stereoscopic from its beginnings and have helped guide clients as to the best way to use it in its current configuration.
Video Card Mailers
Video brochures or video books are thin video screens built inside a mini book. This includes a powerful mini battery, buttons and loud speaker. Video brochures have the unique benefit of operating free of wires, internet access, software downloads or installation. All a recipient has to do is open a magnetized book-cover to experience a multi-media presentation.
Scent Marketing
Proper use of scents can influence people to linger as much as 25 to 40 percent longer in exhibits and other environments. With the right smell, you can create an emotional and extremely deep relationship between your brand and your customers.
4K Ultra High Definition (4 times the resolution of HDTV)
A new generation of televisions and monitors has recently been introduced to the market in stunning 4K HDTV. The result is a Super-Realistic image as real as could ever possibly be imagined, enabling a new era in data visualization. 3D Stereoscopic animations created at this ultra-high resolution are absolutely the best 3D we have ever been able to display.
3D Stereoscopic
For over 150 years people have been exploring the possibilities of 3D Stereoscopic imaging. Recent advances in the technology, most especially the commercialization of 4K or Ultra-HD (4 times the quality of HD), higher brightness, and advanced refresh rates, have contributed to significant improvements in the viewing experience over a wide variety of viewing platforms. Unfortunately there is an abundance of “bad” 3D content. Creating true 3D that is compelling, immersive and easy on the eyes is both science and art. You can’t make great 3D by simply using a 3D Plug-in. We’ve developed a reputation for not only mastering 3D content creation, but also serving as consultants to help others do the same.
Fog Screens
Create an otherworldly experience by projecting images on an apparently solid wall of fog!
Helium Floating Video Pods
Imagine a 16 foot helium filled balloon free floating above the trade show floor and magically projecting video on internal rear projection screens.
Haptic Feedback Interfaces
Our sense of touch connects us to the world around us and is an integral part of how we experience things, both physically and emotionally. Haptic technology is tactile feedback technology that recreates the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user. It has been described as "doing for the sense of touch what computer graphics does for vision". Haptic technology has made it possible to investigate how the human sense of touch works by allowing the creation of carefully controlled haptic virtual objects. These objects are used to systematically probe human haptic capabilities, which would otherwise be difficult to achieve.
Immersive Pods
WOW Vision
Make the ordinary… EXTRAORDINARY WowVision is an advanced close-up lens technology that transforms any ordinary object or product into an exotic landscape. Apple computer has used this technology for years in its product introductions. Many of our clients think their products are boring or bland. WowVision can enhance almost any object and make it look extraordinary.
Laser Sound
Any sound that misses your intended audience is noise. We keep sound focused specifically on your listeners, directing it precisely where you want it, and keeping quiet everywhere else. This revolutionary technology creates a tight, narrow beam of sound that can be controlled with the same precision as light. We use a beam of ultrasound as a "virtual acoustic source," enabling unprecedented control of sound distribution.
Multi-Screen Storytelling
Research shows that viewers are visually sophisticated and can absorb much more information simultaneously than previously imagined. A Multi-Screen venue helps us stand out from the crowd, and communicate more creatively and dynamically in “video shorthand,” covering more content in a compressed timeframe. (more…)
Interactive and Game-based Learning
The ideal of interactive, highly-engaging training and education is ancient. A Chinese proverb says: "Tell me, and I'll forget. Show me, and I may remember. Involve me, and I will understand." Game-based and interactive learning tools bridge that gap and delivers the promise of vastly more productive and engaged students and workers—ones who embrace learning rather than view it as a disruptive burden. Jessica Trybus, New Media Institute’s resident Game-based Learning and Communications Guru
Virtual Reality and HMD’s (Head Mounted Displays) HMD
A new generation of head-mounted displays lets players feel as if they are stepping inside their favorite games and virtual environments. Your view of the world is no longer boxed in on a screen and is only limited by what your eyes can see. The combination of the wide field of view with head-tracking and stereoscopic 3D creates an immersive 3D virtual reality experience.
Augmented Reality
Augmented reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. The technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality
See-through Interactive Displays
Allow the user to see what is shown on a glass screen while still simultaneously being able to see through it, to view real 3-Dimensional objects. These screens can be interactive and used for augmented reality, a way of enhancing your view of the world with digital images overlaid onto real ones.
Mapped Projection: 3 Case Studies
Simply put, Projection Mapping is a technology for Video projection on irregular surface. Scaling from a face-print to a building facade, this specialty produces stunning images in an intriguing way. The potential for this technique is just now being established, as laser projection capabilities mature. By using specialized software, a two- or three-dimensional object is spatially mapped on the virtual program which mimics the real environment it is to be projected on. This technique is used by artists and advertisers alike who can add extra dimensions, optical illusions, and notions of movement onto previously static objects. Triggered by audio cues these visuals captivate young and old.
