Many of you asked about last years trip to Italy to work on a piece that was shown to the public as part of the Pope’s visit to Philadelphia.
I was brought in by David Niles and the Niles Creative Group (who produced the piece) to shoot 2nd Unit beauty shots with a 4K camera package.
Needless to say it was one of those once in a lifetime experiences that cinematographers always dream about.
The Niles Creative Group shot with a variety of gear including: jibs, drones, a new generation of low-light 4K cameras and Epic Dragon 6K cameras.
Shooting from 5-7AM, we were able to capture the magnificence of Rome and behind the scenes in Vatican City, in a way viewers have never seen before.
